Introduction. Discopathic lesions of the lumbosacral spine are the most frequently recorded diseases of the osteoarticular and peripheral nervous system.Aim. The main aim of the study was to evaluate the influence of selected demographic and clinical factors on the social and economic situation of patients after surgical treatment of the lumbosacral discopathy.Material and Methods. The research was carried out at the Department of Neurosurgery, University Hospital in Bydgoszcz on a group of 137 patients diagnosed with lumbosacral discopathy.
