This article aims to reconstruct the vision of history to be found in textbooks of the political economy of socialism. The author treats the textbooks of political economy as a medium of Communist Poland’s official historical narrative. Truth ‘produced’ by means of the educational materials seems to be a perfect exemplification of Michel Foucault’s ideas regarding the knowledge/power relation. In his analysis of the textbooks under discussion, the author uses mainly the issues of stimuli. What emerges from the analysis is a picture of a devious reality in which students of the Polish Peoples republic period were forced to exist, also in the aspect of the propaganda’s vision of the current history of Poland.Artykuł wstępnie opisuje wizję his...
