Creating and Piloting an Instrument to Measure the Relationship between Parenting Style and College Student Grit

Parents are extremely involved in the lives of their college students. Research has explored how parenting style affects college student success such as academic achievement, transition, and wellness. Grit, defined as passion and perseverance for long-term goals, has been linked to college student success; however, little research investigates the relationship between parenting style and college student grit.
