The present study was carried out to identify and outline the trends in those factors which have contributed to the rise in consumption of wool in Japan, and to quantitatively measure their effects with a view to making projections of the future growth in demand that is likely to occur. These can then be used to gain some idea of the future prospects of New Zealand's wool exports to Japan
