Although the volume of research on supply chain collaboration has expanded over the past decade, there is a dearth of studies seeking to enhance conceptual clarity regarding this subject matter. To address this gap, this paper reviews and synthesizes literature on the concept of supply chain collaboration. The paper adopts a systematic approach for ‘planning’, ‘searching’, ‘analysis’, and ‘synthesis’. This paper adds to our knowledge through the development of a theoretical framework built on collaborative capacity, collaborative actions and collaborative outcomes.
