Pedestrian injuries are among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in middle childhood (Borse et al, 2009) and training within virtual reality seems to improve children’s skill in crossing streets safely (Schwebel, McClure, & Severson, 2014). This study tested whether training in virtual reality changes not only behavior, but also self-efficacy about perceived street-crossing ability.
