En el presente trabajo se realiza un estudio situado de las personas cuidadoras domiciliarias desde una mirada amplia, enmarcada en la economía del cuidado. Se analizan roles, funciones y problemáticas existentes desde de los pilares del diamante de bienestar: Estado, Mercado, Familia y Comunidad. Se realiza una aproximación a las características locales de las personas oferentes del servicio, a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas y la descripción de una política pública relacionada, el Programa de Cuidados Domiciliarios.
