A pesar de ser una de más antiguas tragedias conservadas, Agamenón de Esquilo muestra una gran originalidad y maestría compositiva. En este artículo se fija la atención, de un lado, en la narración, que se retrasa al final de la tragedia y en la que se invierte el orden cronológico, y, de otro lado, en la escena de mensajero, anticipada por la escena de la antorcha que protagoniza Clitemnestra.
