Background: Indeterminate randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in ARDS may arise from sample size misspecification, leading to abandonment of efficacious therapies. Research Questions: If evidence exists for sample size misspecification in ARDS RCTs, has this led to rejection of potentially beneficial therapies?
