Patients with 'visual snow' experience dots in their visual field resembling analogue TV noise. By studying a large cohort of patients, Schankin et al. reveal that visual snow is a unique syndrome distinct from migraine aura, despite its frequent comorbidity with migraine. Existing therapies are largely ineffective against visual snow.Patients with 'visual snow' report continuous tiny dots in the entire visual field similar to the noise of an analogue television.
