Population mobility in the circular economy

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the state of mobility of the population in everyday commuting to work and school at the level of regions of the Czech Republic in the aspect of circular economy. Secondary data mainly from the yearbooks of the Ministry of Transport and Tourism, the Czech Statistical Office, the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, etc. were used for the research. The professional assumption of circular economy in the transport issue was drawn from the documents of the European Union and the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic. It is on the basis of the EU documents that an "ideal region" that meets the EU requirements for circularity in transport was drawn up for the purposes of the analysis. From the above sources, the data was analysed using statistical methods and a "mobility circularity degree indicator" was compiled for the purpose of this thesis. The indicator describes and evaluates the level of mobility in each region of the Czech Republic and its result is evaluated. Finally, the findings are followed by proposals for measures to maintain or improve the state of mobility in the regions
