Toponyms of the Microregion Pomalší

This master thesis deals with the issue of place names in the microregion of Pomalší. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part contains theoretical knowledge from the linguistic disciplines of onomastics and toponomastics. Furthermore, it specifically deals with the issue of place names and their classification. In the practical part, we will apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to the oikonyms of the researched area, explain the origin of the names of the given municipalities, briefly present their history and place the oikonyms in the selected classification. The aim of the thesis is to contribute to the toponymy of the Pomalší microregion
