Mathematical models for monitoring the main equipment of a thermal power plant

The diploma thesis deals with the creation of an empirical model of a thermal power plant condenser. The individual devices of the thermal power plant are specified in the first chapter in more detail, which significantly affect its efficiency. The condenser in the Rankine-Clausius cycle is also described here. The second chapter is focused on the individual steps that lead to the creation of an empirical model. This chapter introduces the method of least squares, which is the main method of multivariate linear regression analysis. In the third chapter are described physical events in the condenser and possible defects that can limit its efficiency. The fourth chapter is the application of the second chapter to a specific case. It deals with the specific design of empirical condenser model for a specific thermal power plant. The last chapter describes the use of the empirical condenser model in practice for the detection of state changes in the condenser. At the end, the results of the work are evaluated
