Data Backup and Data Storage

The bachelor’s thesis deals with the problematics pertaining to data backup and data storage. The theoretical section describes how computers interpret data. The history of data storage is then described, starting with punched cards and ending with the cloud. The section concerning data backup describes different types of backups along with suggested practices. The practical section of the thesis covers the analysis of the company Krako-Welding, s.r.o., the result of which is a proposal for improving practices for handling stored data
