Therapy of patients with idiopathic scoliosis - preferences, opinions and contentment of physiotherapy students in the Czech Republic with the content of education

Zuzana Krausová Title: Therapy of patients with idiopathic scoliosis - preferences, opinions and contentment of physiotherapy students in the Czech Republic with the content of education Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the preferences, opinions and contentment of physiotherapy students in the Czech Republic with the content of education in relation to the topic of therapy of patients with idiopathic scoliosis. Methods: A non-standardized questionnaire containing 41 questions was used to collect data. The target group for this research was physiotherapy students. The research population consisted of 190 respondents. The students were given the opportunity to express their opinions with respect to the educational content on idiopathic scoliosis through closed and open-ended questions in the questionnaire survey. Results: The results of the work show that more than 60% of the students who completed the questionnaire survey are not satisfied with their knowledge and skills they have acquired during their studies with regard to the topic of idiopathic scoliosis. More than 60% of the students are also not confident in treating and educating these patients. The results also show that almost 75% of the students are not satisfied with the amount of space to deal with this topic..
