Supporting pydantic v2 This release expands support for pydantic into v2, but does not actually implement any v2 changes, these have been relegated to a later release, due to this implementation's automatic deprecation of v1 support. Hence, this release is the starting point for all plugin repositories to start upgrading to pydantic v2. QoL changes for devs The build lib has been exchanged from build and setuptools to flit all the while combining setup.py, setup.cfg, MANIFEST.in, requirements.txt, requirements_dev.txt, and requirements_docs.txt into the existing pyproject.toml file. Also, the linting tool has been exchanged from pylint to ruff. Finally, the dependencies have been "cleaned up" a bit Note: The way the image parser stores its image data in the DataCache has been changed. Instead of using NumPy's NDArray type, it is simply stored as bytes. This has made it possible to remove NumPy from the list of core dependencies
