Abstract The aim of this research is to determine the characteristics of mathematical thinking based on the impact of self-efficacy on class VIII students on numeracy literacy questions. This research is a qualitative research with research subjects 60 students of class VIII. The data collection instruments used were self-efficacy questionnaires, mathematical thinking ability tests, and interviews. The analysis of the mathematical thinking ability test refers to the modified Stacey indicators. Data analysis was carried out in the following steps, namely the data reduction, the data presentation, the data verification, and the conclusion. The results of the research show that (1) students who have a high category of Magnitude aspect have c...
