Throughout most of the existence of written languages, words were hand written or printed on various physical substrates. However, in today's world, screens have become integrated with people's everyday life. Whether it's television, smart phones, tablets, or computers, people are locked in to screens. Typography has needed to adapt and evolve to fit a pixelated world. I have put together an analysis of the history typography and how it coincides with the history of screens, with the focus on the Internet. I have also included a supplementary infographic that dives deeper into the typographic movements as well as creates a more visual understanding of the material.
