Meta-analysis was used to explore a possible relationship between oral contraceptive use and women's psychological well-being. An analysis of 13 useable studies found a small positive effect of oral contraceptive use on women's psychological well-being. However, the meta-analysis also found great variance among the results of the studies. Possible moderator effects of women's health status and history, type of oral contraceptive, or different hormone combinations of oral contraceptives could explain these results. However, there were too few useable studies to conduct statistical analyses of these possibilities.Thesis (B.?)Honors Colleg
