Purpose: To determine whether distance vision impairment (VI) (Logarithm of the Minimum Angle of Resolution (LogMAR) >0.30), or near VI (NVI) (LogMAR 0.32 to 1.30 at 40cm with <0.30 at 3m) independently predict health-related quality of life (HRQoL), and to estimate societal impact.
