International audienceExclusive breastfeeding is recommended by WHO for all women, but particularly for HIV-positive women, in order to limit the risk of transmission of the virus. However, the practice of breastfeeding in the African context is fraught with difficulties, compromising the elimination of vertical transmission of HIV.
