Early postnatal care: guidelines for clinical practice. The early postnatal interview is a compulsory part of postnatal care in France. It provides an oppor tunity for dialogue and support for the parents. Its aim is to detect and prevent post- partum psycho logical disorders. Midwives carry out the interview between the fourth and eighth week after the birth, exploring various themes.
