Sebuah alat pengukur kecepatan angin saat ini hanya dapat membaca kecepatan angin tanpa mengetahui jenis angin pada saat pengukuran. Untuk itu, alat pengukur kecepatan angin akan diperbarui dengan tambahan fitur yang dapat membaca jenis angin. Pada alat ini juga ditambahakan sensor wind vane untuk mendeteksi kemana arah angin berhembus. Alat ukur kecepatan angin akan dibuat menggunakan anemometer cup yang dipasang sensor optocoupler sebagai pengkonversi gerak putar menjadi kecepatan angin dan arah angin menggunakan wind vane yang dipasang sensor hall effect untuk menentukan arah angin bertiup.
