Acanthosis nigricans maligna (ANM) is a distinctive dermatologic entity presenting with cutaneous hyperpigmentation and epidermal thickening, characteristically located in flexural areas and skin folds. Despite its apparent cutaneous nature, ANM is frequently associated with underlying neoplastic conditions, implying profound clinical significance.
