Peptic ulcer disease is one of the major prevailing diseases throughout the world and predominantly common in low and middle income countries. PUD poses an important cause of morbidity and mortality throughout the world affecting the lives of millions of people in their everyday life. The main purpose of the study was to evaluate the factors predisposing to peptic ulcer disease among patients attending gastrointestinal clinics in two selected tertiary hospitals in Ogun State (Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta and Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Ilishan-Remo).
