Teachers' Lived Experiences in the New Normal: A Phenomenology

COVID-19 drastically altered schools. Students and teachers were separated in the classroom. Thus, the COVID-19 pandemic has stunned teachers worldwide with new teaching and learning obstacles. No teacher-student contact when schools closed. To overcome these unprecedented obstacles, Philippine schools switched from face-to-face to distance learning. Thus, this study looked into the lived experiences of elementary teachers of Sta. Josefa District II, Agusan del Sur in teaching in the new normal for S.Y. 2021-2022. This study utilized a qualitative phenomenological research design and purposive sampling. Hence, the target participants of this study are those teachers who experienced teaching before and during the pandemic. Implications and recommendations of the study were discussed
