This paper is about a fictional creature, written by fictional authors citing fictional references, but was submitted to, and swiftly accepted by, a real journal, Enzyme Engineering, run by the predatory publisher Longdom (which is connected to the predatory OMICS group). The manuscript itself states "this is a predatory journal that does not practice even the most rudimentary peer review." The journal wanted an outrageous sum of money to publish the paper, so instead the manuscript as they accepted it is attached here, along with the acceptance letter and the payment invoice.
