Article aimed at analyzing the biojuridical limits appropriate to the use of gene editing as a therapeutic protocol, without this practice violating the necessary preservation of the integrity of the human and environmental genetic heritage. From this perspective, we sought to assess the challenges in guaranteeing genetic integrity and diversity. The methodological path followed was the analytic-discursive, identifying fundamental connections related to the problem and interpreting the bioethical and biojuridical concepts in favor of the conclusion regarding the proposed problem.
