Objective: To study lipid profile in cases of hypertension presenting at Nishtar Hospital Multan. Material and methods: This descriptive study was conducted at the Department of Medicine Nishtar Hospital Multan. From April 2018 to October 2018. A total of 100 patients admitted with hypertension were the participants of the study. The patients are in the range of 40-80 years. Both known hypertensive patients on treatment for a varying period and newly diagnosed hypertensive patients were included in the study. Results: Serum T.C., TGL, VLDL, LDL, TC/ HDL, LDL/ HDL were significantly elevated in the hypertensive group compared to healthy controls.
