Optimization of the hotel and restaurant business is facilitated by various forms of integration and globalization processes that provide a synergistic effect. Rationally organized integration ensures the formation of additional advantages for hotel organizations based on the joint use of resources and opportunities of the market infrastructure with partners. This makes it relevant to study the issues of interrelated development of the hotel and restaurant business and the labour resources of companies in the hospitality industry from a system-synergistic approach. The purpose of the article is to study the place and role of labour resources in the context of integration and globalization in the hotel and restaurant business. The research of this problem is based on the principles and methodological approaches related to the use of general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, logical and situational analysis, methods of Economic Sciences, subject-object approach, comparative analysis, ranking, grouping, comparison, classification and others. The paper analyzes labour resources in the hotel and restaurant business in Ukraine and some countries of the world. It is established that in the development of the hotel and restaurant business, it is important to take into account the employment of labour resources as an important indicator of economic, social and strategic development. Determining the place and role of labour resources in the hotel and restaurant business in the context of COVID-19 is considered a promising area of further research. The purpose of labour management in the tourism industry and hotel and restaurant business is to motivate its employees to provide quality professional service and maximum satisfaction of tourist needs of its customers. This is impossible without appropriate coordination of labour resources, motivation and formation of corporate culture, increasing customer loyalty to the tourist organization. The right selection of experienced and highly qualified personnel is the key to the success of any tourist organization. The tourism and hotel and restaurant business sector strongly depend on the qualification of personnel and ethics of behaviour; therefore, the culture of tourist service is the most important priority for employees in the tourism sphere in the conditions of globalization and integration
