This is the tutorial describing the Python bindings for the DUNE-FEM module. It combines the flexibility of the DUNE software environment with the ease of use of the scripting language Python to simplify the simulation of complex systems of PDEs. Models are described using the domain specific language UFL and high level program control is done in Python, while the computationally expensive parts of the algorithm are carried out using the efficient algorithms implemented in C++. For rapid prototyping new algorithms can be implemented in Python facilitated by having access to the full C++ DUNE interface.
