Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity are fully compatible, and have a common origin: the expanding (hyper) balloon universe.

This is just an overall view: The greatest challenges facing physics/cosmology today are dark matter, dark energy, information loss (paradox) due to singularity inside black hole etc. which are just relics of our misunderstanding of General Relativity. The mistake started with our misinterpretation of Minkowski SpaceTime equation (which explains all of special relativity including time dilation, length contraction, relative simultaneity etc.). We have mistaken a dynamic 3d hypersheet (composed of field & particles) moving in a 4d hyperspace, for 4d spacetime continuum. This led to the 'block universe' view (pioneered by Minkowski and Einstein) in which there is no distinction between the past, the present, and the future. This view is in stark contrast to our everyday experience, as well as with an astonishing number of observations in the whole of science. This mistake took place due to our lack of understanding of i (square root of -1), which differentiates temporal dimension from spatial dimension, and hence causing the metric to appear as (-,+,+,+). Imaginary numbers cannot be taken as an independent axis. The same spacetime metric is used by General Relativity (although in the form of tensor calculus), and hence GR is also an inside view. That’s exactly why GR can’t accommodate ‘external field effect’ which has now been confirmed with 11 sigma accuracy in galaxies. As an immediate consequence of making this correction, one dimension got freed up (which we were reserving unnecessarily). Kaluza’s miracle of obtaining Maxwell’s equation in addition to Einstein’s equations seemed to demand a heavy price: a fifth dimension was required as an embedding space. Actually, 4 dimension is sufficient (and we get electromagnetic phenomena as a bonus!). Using logical reasoning, the correct model of the universe is obtained (an expanding hyper-balloon), whose theoretical value of Hubble constant agrees very well with observed (accepted) value. From this model, we can decipher nature’s deepest secret. Nature does not use two separate rule books, but two different viewpoints. Everything, from the tiniest quark to the Galaxy clusters is telling one single story. Relativity and quantum mechanics both have a common origin. Entire Physics & Cosmology is united. From this model, we can see that there are 2 viewpoints involved. From our viewpoint, locality is absolute, while from the center of the universe viewpoint (nature's viewpoint) simultaneity is absolute. Also, every tiniest point (Planck scale objects) on the wall of the (hyper) balloon appears as 1+3 dimensional, instead of our familiar 3+1 dimensions. There indeed is absolute simultaneity (as demanded by Sagnac effect), and absolute universal time (as demanded by quantum mechanics) from this viewpoint. This solves the 'time problem' which had so stubbornly resisted the reconciliation of Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity. Why exotic Quantum Mechanics phenomena arises at all is also explained.
