The man of the 20th century wants to get in touch with his history, in order to escape even a little from the harsh reality, which imposes on him an alienating way of life from himself, the natural environment, the fellow human being. One of the results of this desire to escape from everyday life has been an increase to the numbers of visitors to museums and archaeological sites. Aware of this situation and aware of the economic and not only benefits that cultural goods can bring them, various states are making concerted efforts to promote cultural heritage. These efforts include the protection, promotion and management of the monuments and the archaeological sites, since the increase of the phenomenon of internal and external tourism. As a direct result of the specific efforts for the better service of the visitors in the archaeological sites is the realization of restoration and promotion works. These works create a new image in the archaeological sites, which could be a bit identical to the original image. The construction of outposts, paths for visitors, building facilities and visitor information signs, as well as restoration works for the protection of the monuments, create a backdrop and atmosphere, so that the visitor not only feels that he is in an archaeological site, but becomes a participant and communicator of a situation he has never experienced before. This atmosphere should be said to be decisively intensified by the contribution of artificial lighting, which not only contributes to the shaping of the urban night landscape, but contributes also to the complete integration of the archaeological site into the urbanized areas in a different and unique way
