This paper explores diverse voices inAli’s “Twilight in Delhi”(1940) throughBakhtin’s theory of dialogism (1994). Multiple voices coexist in the novel in different situations. This paper aims at investigatingthe situations where the voices are amalgamated. This paper also examines the effect of this fusion of voices on the socio-political atmosphere of Delhi. Close reading technique helped in retrieval of eighteen situations in the novelwhere voices are fused, and then the actions and reactions of the characters in the novel were qualitatively probed.
