Report (Project Milestone MS8) on the workshop entitled “Unified data model for mobilizing and sharing collections data” at the annual meeting of the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC), held by WorldFAIR WP09 on 29 May 2023. The goal of the workshop was to receive feedback on the Unified Data Model (discussed and described in WorldFAIR D9.1) during a community standards meeting. This took place by interacting with workers with varying degrees of experience with Darwin Core, the foundation of the current data model. These interactions will help to guide the team with regard to how much complexity it is feasible to build into the model before it becomes more of a hindrance to data sharing than a benefit. ...
