Chlorine swept benzene displaces both CO and Ph2P from (L-L)(Ph2P)Mo(C0)2 and only CO from (L-L)(Ph2 E)Mo,CO2). to yield (L-L)MoC14 and [(L-L)(Ph, E)MoCI2]CI2 respectively.
