These dataset are associated to the paper 'Megaherbivores provide biotic resistance against alien plant dominance' (Mungi et al. 2023). The dataset are resulted from a large-scale intensive biodiversity assessment conducted across tropical ecosystems in India, using various methods like camera trapping and vegetation inventory. Present data covers 12 ecoregions in India at the resolution of 5x5 km grids. Every record represent such grids across ecoregions, for which data on native and non-native plants and relative abundance of megaherbivore species is averaged.
