Nowadays, the wide availability of GNSS enabled portable devices, such as smartphones and smartwatches, enables professional athletes and outdoor enthusiasts to track and analyse their activities. However, although the nominal precision of the system is high enough for a precise analysis, various environmental factors can affect it, resulting in incorrect positions that could have a negative impact on the resulting trace.
