The technique of differential thermal analysis (D.T.A.) has been applied to the binary oxide catalyst systems like Al2O3-ZnO, Al2O3-ZrO2, Al2O3-MgO, and Fe2O3-ZrO2 with a view to correlating the D.T.A. data with the surface area and catalytic activity of the systems. Differential thermal analysis has indicated a high mutual protective action against crystallisation in each of the systems
