The article presents data on the current state of the problem of the use of trace elements in the treatment of various types of alopecia, provides data on clinical research in the use of zinc, selenium, copper, manganese and other trace elements in the treatment of alopecia. Besides, the review reveals pathogenetic mechanisms of hair loss development in the deficiency, imbalance and overabundance of microelements in the organism
