Observations and modeling of stellar XUV emission in different evolutionary phases is fundamental to understand photochemistry and evaporation processes in exoplanetary atmospheres. As part of the on-going project THE StellaR PAth (Time-dependent High-Energy Radiation and Planetary Atmosphere interaction) we present initial results of our first two study cases of gaseous exoplanets irradiated by young solar-like stars, based on dedicated follow-up observations of the host stars with XMM-Newton and HST. The systems are orbiting the young stars V1298 Tau and DS Tuc A, for which we derived spectral properties of the high-energy emission during quiescent and flaring states.
