Humans get vitamin D from exposure to sunlight, from their diet, and from dietary supplements. A diet high in oily fish prevents vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency is defined by most experts as a 25-hydroxyvitamin D level of less than 20 ng per milliliter (50 nmol per liter). This cross-sectional study was conducted in Sheikh Zayed Medical College Rahim Yar Khan. A total of 160 male and female patients presenting in outdoor department were included in this study. The mean age of the patients was 35.98±2.22 years. The mean vitamin D level among all the patients was 31.23±2.34 ng/mL.
