The article examines and compares part of the Turkic language of the European and Istanbul manuscripts of Jamal al-Din Ibn al-Muhanna’s dictionary “Kitab hilyatul-insan wa halbatul-lisan” (اللسان حلبة و اإلنسان حلية كتاب(. All researchers accept unanimously P.M.Melioransky’s scientific results about the fact that parts of the Turkic language in all five European manuscripts belong to the medieval Azerbaijani language. But scientists’ opinions about the Istanbul manuscript do not coincide.
