1. CG lightning data for June-August during the years of 2010-2018 used in the paper were detected by the China Lightning Detection Network and the spatial resolution is 0.01º×0.01º. This dataset describes lightning frequency in the area around the Sichuan Basin (25°-35°N, 100°-110°E). 2. Terrain data is obtained from Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) Global Digital Elevation Model (GDEM) in version 3 and the spatial resolution of terrain data is 0.02º×0.02º.
