The relationship between conception of decision making styles of coaches with player's burnout of the Iranian Premier League

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between conception of decision making styles of volleyball coaches and players burnout of the Iranian Premier League. The research method was applied - correlation and the population statistical was census. So, statistical sample included 240 male and female players (100 females and 140 males) of Iran volleyball in the Premier League in 2012 – 2013 years. The instruments were Scott and Bruce (1995) decision making styles standard questionnaire and Radeke and Smith (2001) athlete burnout standard questionnaire. The reliability of questionnaire there was approved by Cronbach's alpha (0/79). For data analysis, correlation and stepwise regression were used. Results showed there was significant relationship between conception of decision making styles of coaches (rational, intuitive, impulsive, avoidant and dependent) and athletes burnout (emotional exhaustion, diminished performance, and apathy))
