Introduction: Chronic neck pain has high prevalence rates, affecting between 1024% of the world population. The average costs surrounding this condition are estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars in treatments for the relief of chronic neck pain. Objective: To describe the effects of vertebral joint mobilization (AVM) associated with resistance exercises in the modulation of chronic neck pain. Method: Integrative literature review, carried out from September to December 2021. Results: AVM associated with resistance exercises, in 80% of the studies, showed a reduction in the level of pain, however, these positive outcomes of the techniques do not last for the long term.
