Residues of antibiotic drugs in food and food products have been received much attention in recent years because of growing food safety concerns for public health. There are serious effects of antibiotic residues in meat for human consumption (e.g., increasing antimicrobial resistance, carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, and hypersensitivity). In this study, we used broiler chicks as a laboratory animal to detect the colistin sulfate antibiotic residue for human health concerns.
