Abstract: Free Trade Zones has become one of the pillars for economic development for most countries in Europe and most of Asia. This has been the case for a country like China which has witness a super growth because of the policies they adopted that promoted the development of free trade zones in the country and it has contributed immensely its economic development. This paper exploits the potential for economic development that African countries stand to benefit from the Pan-African free trade agreement that was signed by 54 African countries.
