BACKGROUND: A complete medical history in conjunction with a medical assessment is usually sufficient to diagnose acute appendicitis. The purpose of this investigation was to see how useful high white cell count (WCC), C-reactive protein (CRP), and bilirubin seeing that analytical indicators for appendicitis. METHODS: Over a three-year period, a retrospective cohort study on individuals who had appendicectomy. The figures were compiled, including patient age, gender, blood picture, and appendix histopathology. WCC, CRP, and bilirubin sensitivities, specificity, positives, and negative predictive values were premeditated independently or in grouping for all patients. RESULT: There were 50 patients in all.
