مصطلح الدِّين في القرآن الكريم ووسائل المحافظة عليه: دراسة موضوعية تحليلية/ The Concept of Religion in the Noble Qurʾān: A Thematic Analysis Study

Islam has urged to preserve the religion (Eddīn) and its teaching; this can be achieved only through a number of means. One of the consequences that stem from not implementing such means will lead to a state of imbalance and disequilibrium. Furthermore, this imbalance can negatively affect the aims of religion including the life, intellect, lineage, and property. This study aims to count the repetition of the word religion in the Qurʾān with its diverse linguistic syntax, analyse it and then extracts its homonymys. Besides, it also aims to shed light on the means that help preserving the religion from an Islamic perspective by implementing an analytical inductive and deductive approach. This study has concluded that the word religion has been mentioned in the Qurʾān ninty-five times with eight homonymys: Islām, obedience, rule of law, punishments, reckoning, Islamic law, monotheism and disbelief. All these homonymys indicate that no God who worth of worshiped except Allāh, and that whoever choses a path rather than the path of Allāh will go astray and then will be among the looser in the hearafter. Also, it concludes that there are a lot of ways to preserve the religion such as: Practicing the religion, abide by the rules of religion, call to path of Allāh, struggle for sake of Allāh, warning from committing sins, the prohibition of concealing the truth, enjoining good and forbidding evil, and legislating punishments. In addition, the dangers that stem from hindering the means that preserve the religion are: backwardness, social instability, isolating the religion from all aspect life, the emergence of weakness, the emergence of corruption and the spread of pandemics and diseases
